In 2014 Prof. Ben Horin and Mr. Salomon presented their study on the herbal compound Berberine and its immunological effects alone and in combination with immune-modulating drugs. This study provided evidence for a possible integrative treatment strategy for inflammatory bowel diseases. Their research was awarded at the IDDF international conference and the abstract published in Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
